Since the exhibit’s creation in 2004, Check Your Insides Out — From Top to Bottom has crossed the country many times to spread the word that you can prevent many forms of cancer by living a healthy lifestyle, eating right, getting proper medical screening and knowing your family’s medical history. The Check Your Insides Out — From Top to Bottom Tour has been a pivotal part of the Foundation's outreach and awareness campaigns, educating, entertaining and inspiring scores of visitors to learn about the prevention of cancers from the top of the body — to the bottom.
This educational exhibit featured seven hands-on learning stations about skin, oral, breast, cervical, prostate, lung and colorectal cancer, bringing with it a simple message: You can prevent cancer! Visitors learned about the effects of sun exposure, strolled inside a gigantic colon, tested their breast care knowledge, peered into a cavernous open mouth, listened to lungs talk, and learned how to take charge of their bodies and their lives!
