Since 1998, the Prevent Cancer Foundation, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Cancer Leadership Council, the Coalition of National Cancer Cooperative Groups, and the Oncology Nursing Society have convened the annual Summit on Cancer Clinical Trials. The purpose of the meetings are to bring together health care providers from academic and community cancer centers along with representatives of patient advocacy organizations, government, industry and third-party payers to raise public awareness of clinical trials and to increase accrual in trials to evaluate new ways to prevent and treat cancer.
Each summit has successfully developed tangible and applicable solutions for the improvement of cancer clinical trials. Summaries of each Summit Series are available.
