I am a 72-year-old woman. I was diagnosed with melanoma when I was 69.  I noticed what I thought was a bug bite on my lower leg. Several months later, I went to a dermatologist and he did not think it was anything either.  He did do biopsy though and I was later diagnosed with stage 3C melanoma.  I had 2 surgeries.  One on my lower leg about 5” by 9″. The other in my groin area took out 21 lymph nodes, two of which had cancer.  I had to do injections for two years and have to wear compression stockings up to the waist for the rest of my life.
