There’s much more to celebrity wedding planner, author, lifestyle guru, television host and Prevent Cancer Foundation Sustaining Director David Tutera than designing and producing spectacular events. With an impressive client list that includes a “Who’s Who” of Hollywood, sports and entertainment luminaries and his highly successful “David Tutera: Unveiled” on WEtv, David remains committed to educating individuals on cancer prevention and early detection; Even the very young.
Last week David spoke with the students at Robert A. Millikan Middle School in Sherman Oaks, California about the need to stay healthy and active. Not only to fight obesity, which is growing at an alarming rate in young people but also to reduce their cancer and chronic disease risks later in life.
The middle school was a perfect forum for David’s message. The schools mission is to provide opportunities for all students to become self-motivated, life-long learners, who will possess the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue their academic and career goals and to be mentally and physically healthy.
David proudly served as an active member of the Prevent Cancer Foundation’s Board of Directors from 2007 to 2013 and now serves as a Sustaining Director.
The Prevent Cancer Foundation salutes David for inspiring a new generation to Stop Cancer Before It Starts!
