3 ways to help Stop Cancer Before It Starts on #GivingTuesday

Published on November 25, 2019

#GivingTuesdayThe season of giving is upon us. Since 2012, the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving has been deemed #GivingTuesday, a day that, in the midst of Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping, encourages people to do good and to give back.

Over the past eight years, Giving Tuesday has grown from a simple idea into a “global generosity movement.” Participation can include anything from charitable giving to making someone smile.

On Giving Tuesday, everyone has something to give – what will yours be?

1. Give your voice

Your voice has the power to create real change in your community. Follow @preventcancer on your favorite social media (Facebook, Instagram or Twitter) today and share cancer prevention and early detection information to your networks. It could save someone’s life.

2. Give your change

Every dollar raised – from $2 to $200 – will support our mission to Stop Cancer Before It Starts® by bringing cancer prevention and early detection programs to communities across the nation.

But don’t take our word for it: The Foundation is a top-rated charity by CharityWatch and Charity Navigator, holds a 2019 Platinum rating from GuideStar and is BBB accredited, so you can feel confident about the impact your gift will have.

3. Give kindness

If you can’t give your voice or your change on Giving Tuesday, give your kindness. This global day of giving is all about selflessness. Make it your mission on Giving Tuesday to do something for someone else, even if it’s just to make them smile. A little kindness goes a long way.
