Alexandria, Va. – Becca Ginns, Senior Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at the Prevent Cancer Foundation, has been included in the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP) 2022 40 under 40 list.

The AHP 40 Under 40 recognition program honors the industry’s brightest young leaders who have demonstrated success in their careers in healthcare philanthropy.

“These honorees are part of a select group who have demonstrated impressive career achievements, deep community involvement, and outstanding leadership in all they do,” said Alice Ayres, AHP President and Chief Executive Officer.

In her first year at the Prevent Cancer Foundation, Becca secured $1.24 million of new corporate funding. She currently manages a portfolio of 100 existing corporate funders and prospects and oversees planned giving.

Becca has developed several new initiatives for the Foundation, including a corporate membership program launching in 2023, a health equity fund to show the combined impact of programs and campaigns in the area of health equity, and a needs assessment to reengage and identify new ways to assist 100+ community grantee organizations across the U.S.

In her previous role at the Society of Interventional Radiology Foundation, Becca successfully launched the organization’s first online fundraiser during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic when an in-person Gala was cancelled.

“These established professionals named by the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy have a record of innovation and demonstrated success. We’re so grateful to have Becca on our team, where her talents have helped the Foundation not just grow, but flourish,” said Prevent Cancer Foundation President and COO Jody Hoyos.
