With Valentine’s Day smack dab in the middle of the month, a lot of people think that February is just about chocolate and greeting cards. But it can also be about protecting your loved ones!
Self-exams are an important way to monitor for body changes that could be early signs of cancer. As you age, your risk of getting cancer increases significantly—25 percent of new cases are in adults ages 65 to 74—so regular self-exams and recommended screenings become even more important.
This Valentine’s Day, you can spread the love AND prevent cancer by taking the time to get to know your partner’s body and looking for any irregularities, at any age.
Have some frisky fun as a way to #CheckYourM8 for early signs of breast, skin or testicular cancer.
If you notice anything irregular, it’s important to tell your partner right away so they can follow up with their doctor.
P.S. – Did you help detect your partner’s cancer early? We want to hear about it! Share your story with us at www.checkyourmate.org or on social media using #CheckYourM8.
