This is the racial divide among cancer deaths in every state
THURSDAY, May 7 (USA Today)—Despite claims that COVID-19 was quickly becoming the leading cause of death in the U.S., the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that at this time this claim is far from being true. Heart disease and cancer, the CDC said, remain the leading causes of death among Americans, respectively. About 1 of every 4 deaths in the country is due to cancer.

While some people experience only mild symptoms (or no symptoms at all), for others, infection is devastating and leads to serious illness or death. When we look at other respiratory illnesses, like lung cancer, it’s clear that CT imaging is an integral tool for early diagnoses and treatment monitoring—but how can we use this tool to diagnose or treat COVID-19 and save lives?
